Scholarship

Post 413 annually sponsors a scholarship through Pocono Mountain High School.

The scholarship is open to graduating seniors who are the child or grandchild of a veteran with preference given to those with American Legion member relatives.

Selection is based on academic performance, community service, and essay strength.

In 2023, Post 413 awarded two scholarships to graduating seniors Blaise McCarroll and Brooklyn Schmidt of Pocono Mountain West High School. Both recipients boast strong academic records, are active in their communities, and authored compelling scholarship essays on patriotism and community service.
